Infant Baptism

Infant Baptism.

Come to the Parish office to register your child for baptism. Please bring a copy of your child’s Birth certificate at the time of registration.

Baptismal preparation classes are held on the second Tuesday of each month. Pre-registration for this class is required. Parents/sponsors of child to be baptized are required to attend a Baptism preparation class.

Requirements for Sponsors/Godparents:

  • Must be 16 years or older.
  • Must be a Baptized, Confirmed Catholic and has received the blessed Eucharist. (Documentation of Confirmation will be required at the time of registration)
  • Must be a practicing Catholic who attends Mass on a regular basis. (every Sunday)
  • Cannot be the parent of the child receiving Baptism
  • Must be canonically free to carry out the office of Sponsor/Godparent. (If you are unable to receive the sacraments you will be unable to be a sponsor/godparent. Please ask if unsure).
  • The sponsor should be a person who is prayerful, loving and is comfortable in sharing their faith with others.

Being a sponsor/godparent is not a great honor given to a good friend or relative. It is rather a great responsibility to God, the Church and to the person receiving
