Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A). (Inquirers of Faith)
This program is for non-Catholic adults and children (past second grade) who wish to live the Catholic Faith.
Non-Baptized Adults will be prepared to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, which normally tales place at the Easter Vigil.
Baptized non-Catholics will be prepared to make a Profession of Catholic faith, and to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
Baptized Catholics and uncatechized will be prepared to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
At St Catherine’s our R.C.I.A classes normally start in the Fall of each year and follows an annual cycle, with all eligible candidates making the “Rite Of Election” (at the Cathedral), the eligible candidates will then receive all the their sacraments at the Easter Vigil, in the presence of St Catherine’s faith community that has been praying for them during this time.
