Religious Education Classes

Religious education classes are available for all children from the age of four upwards.

There are three different classes;

  • 1st Communion Class – Children must be 7 or in 2nd grade or above
  • Confirmation Class – This is a two year program, Children must be 14 or in 8th grade to start this class.
  • Regular Religious Education class – This class is for those who want to continue faith formation but are not receiving a sacrament. this class is open to those from pre-K thru 7th grade.

Religious Education Classes are an excellent way to continue your child’s faith instruction. All our teachers are highly motivated in working with your family and assisting you with task of raising your children in the Catholic Faith given to us by Jesus

There is a $10 Tuition fee per family asked by the parish, plus there are separate book fees which differ in cost by class. Please be aware that we do not want to turn anyone away from the R.E. programs and sacramental preparation classes offered here at St Catherine’s. At St Catherine’s we do not want cost to be a burden for you and your family, we are more than willing to work with you on this.

Registrations for each year’s class take place throughout the month of August.

Information you will need to bring to Register each child:

  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate (If the child is baptized)
  • Full Contact details of Parents/Caregiver. (Phone numbers, email etc)
