COMMUNITY OF THE BEATITUDES

The Catholic Community of the Beatitudes in Denver is the first house in the U.S.A. and started in August 1999.

Most Reverend Charles Chaput, Archbishop of Denver, met the Community's General Moderator in Rome for Pentecost 1998 during the gathering of new communities called by Pope John Paul II, and asked the Community to settle in Denver.

Visiting us, praying with us, and supporting us are all ways to join us in the work of the Lord here in this house and in the mission He is calling us to at St. Catherine’s and here in America. Please know how much your presence means to us. We would like to invite you to be more involved. You are all welcome to attend at other times, especially on Saturday evenings: at our praise Mass, 4pm on the second Saturday of the month, and for Resurrection Vespers every other Saturday, always followed by a potluck and dances. Our full week of public prayers led by the community is as follows...

8am Mass (in the parish Church, unless otherwise noted)

Tuesday
7am Morning Prayer, Rosary, 8am Mass, adoration; 5:30pm Byzantine Vespers (convent)

Wednesday
7am Morning Prayer, Rosary, 8am Mass, adoration; 6pm Prayer Group (convent)

Thursday
7am Morning Prayer, Rosary, 8am Mass; adoration all day; Latin Vespers (convent)

Friday
7am Morning Prayer, Rosary, 8am Mass; adoration in convent

Saturday
7:30 Morning Prayer, 8am Mass; adoration, confessions, Rosary; 5:30 Rosary, 6pm Resurrection Vespers, potluck, Dances of Israel

Sunday
8:20 Morning Prayer and adoration in convent; 10:30 singing practice, 11:30 Mass.
